CodeRight is built local-first, and this policy reflects that. The short version: the desktop app keeps your work on your machine, and the only data this website collects is the email you choose to give the waitlist or the information needed to deliver and support a paid digital license.

The desktop app
CodeRight runs on your computer. Your sessions, conversation transcripts, project files, and any provider keys you configure are stored locally on your machine and encrypted at rest. We don't operate a server that receives your code or your conversations, and the app ships with no telemetry or analytics.
Current public builds and this website do not provide hosted AI features. If a future build lets you connect a model provider, any prompts, code, or other content you choose to send would go directly from your device to the provider you configure using your own account or API key. Those requests would be governed by that provider's own terms, not ours, and would not be routed through our servers.
This website & the waitlist
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- the email address you submit;
- the date and time you signed up;
- your country (derived from your connection by Cloudflare, for rough geographic interest);
- a one-way hash of your IP address (used only to limit abuse — the raw IP is not stored);
- optionally, the free-text answers you give about your current tools — only if you choose to fill them in.
This data lives in Cloudflare's storage (Workers KV) on infrastructure we control. We use it for exactly one thing: to email you when the beta is ready, and occasionally about CodeRight's launch. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers.
Purchases, licenses, and refunds
If you buy a CodeRight license, the RightApps commerce backend and Stripe process the information needed to complete the order, send receipts, deliver your license key, prevent fraud, process refunds, and maintain tax and accounting records. This may include your name, email address, billing address, payment status, order ID, license key, and support messages. We keep only the minimum order and support records needed to deliver your license, handle refunds, prevent fraud, and maintain tax/accounting records. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Confirmation and launch emails are sent via Resend, a transactional email provider, which processes your email address solely to deliver those messages.
If you contact support and choose to send logs, screenshots, or code samples for troubleshooting, we use them only to resolve that support request.
No tracking cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and runs no third-party trackers. Fonts are served from this site itself, so no third-party font request is made and no IP is exposed to a font CDN.
Your choices and data deletion
You can ask us to remove your email from the waitlist at any time — emailhello@coderight.cc and we'll delete your record. Every launch email will also include an unsubscribe option.
You can use the same address to request deletion of support data, license support data, or any future app account data associated with your email, subject to records we must retain for tax, security, refund, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal reasons.
